So lately I have been ripping a large selection of cds, which has brought to attention what I believe to be a very useless ‘Home’ browser in amaroK. Apart from the favourite tracks, which I believe should be removed and replaced with a comprehensive statistics page, ala irc stats, I find the newest and the least played boxes un-informant. This is a difficult problem, simply because we can’t fit a lot of information into such a small space, without seriously affecting the interface (current interface). I do, however, really like the ‘Current’ track page which shows a lists of albums which you are in possession of.
Now, by now, if you haven’t guessed what I am thinking of – shame on you 
. Why not merge the two?!
This way, we get best of both worlds! Expandable boxes which allow the user to see which tracks are new, and from what album they are from. This way, we could see many of our ‘newest albums’! Have a look at my mockup.
