Sure, the DB will be the same across all platforms. However, we don’t know how easy it will be to port the 1.4 database to the new schema. Hopefully it will all go smoothly.

I’m curious about database portability. What will the upgrade path look like? Can I take my Linux 1.4.x db to Windows?

Seriously, this shows the portability of KDE as a development framework, which is yet another one to add to my list of why use KDE for anything and everything.
