We left Dahab and decided to skip visiting Petra, since the area had been snowed in for a couple of days, and the roads were super icy and temperatures are well sub-zero. Stevo, a dude from manly with semi-dreads got held up at the border and needed all his bags checked. I was quite surprised that I didn’t have to turn them inside out, however. Traveling in a family must help. Stayed in Eilat for a night, at a cute hostel and checked out the markets along the promenade and water front.
Now in Tel-Aviv, which is wonderful. Visited the old city of Jaffo, eaten lots of falafel and hummus, and practiced lots of Hebrew. Tomorrow, to Jerusalem for 10 days, I’m so excited!
