Announcing Tripod

I am proud to announce the first release of Tripod, the premier application for managing photos on your iPod.

http://www.sebruiz.net/tripod/

Tripod is targeted towards a KDE environment, but requires only kdelibs and libgpod (cvs), so it is easy to use in any environment. Currently, Tripod allows for creating, removing, renaming of photo albums, as well as adding and removing of photos to albums.

The application is very stable, but released as beta software since it is the first public offering :) .

Enjoy!

What about making this into a kipi-plugin that could be used in Digikam, et. al.?

That is an awesome name. Best name for a piece of software I’ve ever heard. :)

    That is all.

Great name, but there is one detail about it: it’s the same name of a very old hosting service, now owned by Lycos.

Also: it doesn’t compile for me on Debian SID, AMD64 (configures ok):
ipodexportdialog.cpp: In member function ‘void IpodExport::UploadDialog::startTransfer()’:
ipodexportdialog.cpp:328: error: cannot convert ‘GError**’ to ‘const gchar*’ for argument ‘3′ to ‘gboolean itdb_photodb_add_photo(Itdb_PhotoDB*, const gchar*, const gchar*)’

I’m having the same problem as Ignacio, but on a 32bit arch running Kubuntu:

ipodexportdialog.cpp: In member function ‘void IpodExport::UploadDialog::startTransfer()’:
ipodexportdialog.cpp:328: error: cannot convert ‘GError**’ to ‘const gchar*’ for argument ‘3’ to ‘gboolean itdb_photodb_add_photo(Itdb_PhotoDB*, const gchar*, const gchar*)’
